Mama always said drink OJ when you get sick because Vitamin C is the best for fighting off colds.
I’ll let you in on a little something: Oranges are not the only foods that contain rich amounts of Vitamin C! There are tons of fruits and veggies out there that are great for you, and a healthy smoothie is one of my favorite ways to get my fruit and vegetable servings. Your standard glass of orange juice gets a health boost with carrots, ginger, turmeric, and bananas.

Mindful Avocado for the win! With cold and flu season upon us, my husband and I were looking for something to boost our immune systems. We read up on how turmeric and ginger have amazing benefits in this respect. Not only did this smoothie really hit the spot, it also makes us happy to know we are doing something good for our bodies. We both love making smoothies any time of year. For us it is a great way to get all our fruits and veggies in a delicious way. My husband prefers to eat vegan, and he also juices and drinks smoothies for weight loss, with many of the recipes coming from https://bit.ly/35XGyLy . He is always on the hunt for new recipes to try, so we are so glad we found this immune boosting recipe. Four thumbs up from us. Thanks again!
Thanks, Michelle! Great to hear!
Thanks for this!! Have you added spinach or Kale? If so, what’s the recommended amount?
I’ve never added greens to this smoothie but I would recommend 1-2 handfuls.
I haven’t tried it yet but I’m always looking for healthy smoothies so I can’t wait to try this one.
Thanks so much, Cece!
How often should you drink this smoothie. Twice a week, once a day. How often should you drink it in order to reap benefits.
Hi Ester. I would recommend talking to a doctor or RD about this, but it wouldn’t hurt to drink 1 a day!
