Chop strawberries and basil and put in the mortar.
Add agave nectar and use pestle to release the juices of the strawberries and basil.
Divide strawberry and basil mixture into two cocktail glasses. Add ice and 1.5 ounces of vodka in each glass. Top with kombucha. Garnish with s strawberry slice and basil (optional).

Notes
If you do not own a mortar and pestle, you can muddle the strawberries and basil on a cutting board and use the bottom of a mug or mason jar as the pestle. Then transfer to a small bowl and mix with agave nectar.
