Layers of banana, strawberry, and chocolate create this magnificent banana split smoothie. It looks like Neopolitan ice cream but it is as healthy as a smoothie!

Oh hey, layered smoothie.

Some of you might be thinking “OMG so pretty! I need to make this!”

Others might be thinking “Girl, please. I don’t have time for that”

Whatever side of the spectrum you are on, I’m here to tell you this smoothie tastes just as great all blended up as oppose to layers.

But if you are willing to go the extra mile (or just doing it for the gram) this banana split smoothie recipe is a must try!

How to make a banana split smoothie

Start by making the banana layer. I work light colors to dark so no need to clean the blender in between layers!

Blend the banana layer in a high power blender and transfer to a glass. Place the glass in the freezer when making the second layer.

Next up, is strawberry. Blend all those ingredients together and pour into glass.

Blend chocolate layer and pour on top of the other layers.

How to make a thick smoothie

If your smoothies come out more liquidy, there are 2 things you can do to fix that.

  1. Use less liquid
  2. Use frozen ingredients

I like to keep frozen fruit and bananas on hand for making a quick smoothie.
